Zatvoren natječaj IP-CORONA-2020-04

Upravni odbor Hrvatske zaklade za znanost je krajem ožujka 2020. godine raspisao poseban tematski natječaj za istraživačke projekte „Upravljanje zaraznim bolestima uzrokovanima koronavirusima te društvenim i obrazovnim aspektima pandemije” (IP-CORONA-2020-04). Natječaj je objavljen s vrlo kratkim rokom prijave u izvanrednim i zahtjevnim okolnostima koje su nastale kao posljedica pandemije COVID-19 kako bi se potaknuo, usmjerio i podržao odgovor hrvatskih istraživačkih grupa na bolesti uzrokovane koronovarusima te društvene i obrazovne aspekte pandemije.

Natječaj je zaključen 20. travnja 2020. godine u 13 sati, a zaprimljeno je 98 projektnih prijava.

Najveći broj prijava (32 prijave) zaprimljen je u istraživačkoj temi Društveni aspekti COVID-19 pandemije, potom slijedi tema Imuni odgovor i razvoj novih pristupa u dijagnostici COVID-19 s 31 prijavom, zatim tema Obrazovni aspekti pandemije s 22 prijave, te tema Razvoj novih cjepiva, tretmana, lijekova i pripravaka za inhibiciju COVID-19 sa zaprimljenih 13 prijava. Ukupan iznos traženih sredstava u projektnim prijavama iznosi gotovo 85 milijuna kn. Ovako velik broj prijava podnesenih u kratkom vremenu pokazuje spremnost hrvatske znanstvene zajednice da se suoči s različitim aspektima krize i pridonese ublažavanju njezinih posljedica.

Natječaj je raspisan s ukupnim proračunom od 14 milijuna kn za 18 mjeseci trajanja financiranih projekata. S obzirom na proračun programa i ukupni iznos traženih sredstava u podnesenim prijavama projekata, realno je očekivati da će postotak financiranih projekata biti manji od 20 % prijavljenih. Temeljni će kriterij vrednovanja biti kvaliteta projektnog prijedloga i istraživačkog tima te potencijal za značajan doprinos istraživačkom problemu u ograničenom vremenskom roku.

Prijave na natječaj će se žurno administrativno pregledati i uputiti u postupak vrednovanja, sukladno temeljnim aktima HRZZ-a. Prilikom vrednovanja posebno će se uzeti u obzir činjenica temelji li se projektni prijedlog na jakim istraživačkim grupama s voditeljima koji su međunarodno i/ili nacionalno prepoznati znanstvenici, okrupnjavanju istraživačkih grupa i drugih istraživačkih kapaciteta radi postizanja sinergijskih učinaka u dobivanju novih znanstvenih spoznaja koje će pomaknuti granice znanja o virusu SARS-CoV-2 i bolesti COVID-19, o društvenim učincima pandemije i načinima ublažavanja njezinih posljedica, te na doprinosu rješavanju problema uzrokovanih pandemijom.

HRZZ planira početi s financiranjem najbolje vrednovanih projekata u lipnju 2020. godine. Stoga će postupak obrade i vrednovanja prijava na natječaj biti proveden žurno kako bi se osigurala brza povratna informacija o zaprimljenim prijedlozima te što skoriji početak financiranja najbolje rangiranih i najperspektivnijih istraživanja.
