Call "Research Projects – Swiss-Croatian Bilateral Projects" (IPCH-2021-10) now open

Pursuant to the Bilateral Cooperation Agreement concluded between the Croatian Science Foundation and the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), the Croatian Science Foundation is launching the Call for co-funding the Croatian part of joint Swiss-Croatian research projects.

The bilateral project is implemented by a Swiss and a Croatian research team, headed by the Swiss Principal Investigator. The Swiss Principal Investigator, in collaboration with their Croatian partner, prepares a project proposal pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Call published by SNSF and submits it to the SNSF Call. Swiss and Croatian parts of the research project need to be closely connected and complementary and the scientific contribution from both sides needs to be clearly defined, visible and transparent.


Call IPCH-2021-10 in brief:

  • Call opening date: 12 July 2021
  • Application deadline: the joint proposal should be submitted to SNSF by 1 October 2021 @ 17.00 (CET), while the Croatian PI should submit their application to the EPP system by 4 October 2020 @ 12.00 noon (CET) 
  • Research field: the Call is open to all areas of science
  • Funding duration: 4 years


Project proposals ranked in the top 20% of all proposals submitted to SNSF and accepted for funding by SNSF will be recommended for financing. 

The application of the Croatian PI shall be submitted only through the EPP system.
