Announcing Career Path Seminar #9

The Association of Croatian-American Professionals (ACAP) and the Croatian Science Foundation are resuming the Career Path Seminar series for young scientists, which features excellent Croatian scientists in Croatia and abroad, who, by presenting their career stories, want to inspire young researchers in Croatia and guide them in their own path.

We would hereby like to announce the ninth Career Path Seminar, which will be held on Tuesday, 23 November at 17.00 CET via Zoom. This seminar will feature two natural scientists conducting research in the field of infectious diseases and vaccine development.

Language of the seminar will be Croatian.

Speakers:

  • Dr Irena Čorbić-Ramljak, Ph.D. – Master’s degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Science; International doctoral studies at Max F. Perutz Laboratories, University of Vienna, Austria; Currently: Scientist and Project Lead at Clinical Serology Department, Valneva, Vienna, Austria
  • Professor Luka Čičin-Šain, Ph.D., M.D. – M.D. degree at Medical University of Rijeka; Master of Science in biomedicine, University of Rijeka; PhD in biomedicine, University of Rijeka; Currently: Group leader (“Immune Aging and Chronic infections” research group) at Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research; Associate Professor at Hannover Medical School (MHH) and member of the Centre for Individualized Infection Medicine (CiiM)
