The Initiative for Science in Europe (ISE), an independent platform of European Learned Societies and Research Organizations, with support of the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Ms Mariya Gabriel, drafted recommendations to support grantees of the European Commission who have been affected by the COVID crisis.

ISE’s member organisations have worked together to collect as much data about the consequences  of the COVID crisis on careers and mental health of young researchers and information about best practices put in place by other funders. The Croatian Science Foundation provided its data for the survey in question. We are honoured that ISE highlighted the response of the Croatian Science Foundation to the pandemic as one of the examples of good practice regarding support to researchers.
