The Association of Croatian-American Professionals (ACAP) and the Croatian Science Foundation are resuming the Career Path Seminar series for young scientists, which features excellent Croatian scientists in Croatia and abroad, who, by presenting their career stories, want to inspire young researchers in Croatia and guide them in their own path.

We would hereby like to announce the tenth Career Path Seminar, which will be held on Tuesday, 14 December at 17.00 CET via Zoom. The topic of this seminar will be postdoctoral careers. For this purpose, we will host two Group Leaders who actively recruit postdoctoral researchers as well as one young researcher who is currently employed as a postdoc.

Language of the seminar will be Croatian.

• Dr Ana Bošković, PhD – graduated from Faculty of Science, Zagreb; PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology, University of Strasbourg; current position: Group Leader in mechanisms of embryonic gene regulation, EMBL Rome
• Dr Ana Marija Jakšić, PhD – graduated from Faculty of Agriculture, Zagreb, PhD from Institute of Population Genetics, University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna; current position: Group Leader in experimental evolutionary neurobiology, École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)
• Dr Maria Brbić, PhD – graduated from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Zagreb; PhD in Computer Science from University of Zagreb, while working as an early-stage researcher at Ruđer Bošković Institute; current position: postdoctoral researcher in Computer Science at Stanford University; USA
